Marks Opening of First Emirates Travel Store in Far East, with Expansion Plans Across the Airline’s Network

HONG KONG, 17 July 2024 – Emirates has celebrated a significant milestone with the opening of its first Travel Store in Hong Kong, marking the airline’s inaugural store in the Far East region. This launch is part of a strategic retail expansion that will roll out across the Far East and the airline’s global network.

The Travel Store was officially inaugurated by Orhan Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Far East, alongside Shaikh Saoud Al Mualla, UAE Consul General, and Sultan Alriyami, Emirates Area Manager for Hong Kong. The opening ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, trade partners, and media representatives.

Located in the Nexxus Building, the Emirates Travel Store aims to enhance the customer journey from booking to departure, offering flight reservations, ticketing, and personalized customer assistance. The store is designed to provide a premium, lounge-like environment where customers can enjoy Emirates’ renowned hospitality and services.

Spanning 1,500 square feet, the store features modern, light furniture and four dedicated customer service counters for flight reservations, ticketing, and general inquiries. Interactive screens encourage customers to take selfies against iconic Emirates backgrounds, while self-service kiosks minimize wait times and facilitate faster service. LED screens display the latest Emirates products and promotions.

A notable feature of the store is the Premium Economy Class seat display, allowing customers to experience the comfort of this sought-after cabin class. The store also offers a curated selection of Emirates official merchandise and travel accessories.

Emirates Soars to New Heights in Hong Kong

Emirates operates 21 flights per week between Hong Kong and Dubai. To underscore its commitment to the Hong Kong market, the airline recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Hong Kong Tourism Board to boost inbound tourism from Europe and the Middle East. The revamped Emirates Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport has reopened, and the airline’s complimentary Chauffeur-drive service now includes Business Class passengers in Hong Kong, enhancing their travel experience.

Customers who sign up for the Emirates Skywards loyalty program using the in-store kiosk by 31 July 2024 will receive a bonus of 2,000 Skywards Miles. Existing members can earn and redeem Skywards Miles with Emirates’ global partners, including hotels, airlines, car rentals, retail stores, and banks.
